Progress

I want to share the progress in our family room make over. It has been harder than I tough because of the wood paneling we have in that room. It takes triple the time than to paint a regular wall. I have to go over the wall one time with the roller and then came back with a paint brush to cover all the irregularities of the wood.

The first step was to put the primer and then I started to add the color to one of the walls. I almost finish with that wall when my hubby come back from work. As soon as he saw it, he said he did not like it. Bummer!!!

So we started looking for other color and we choose a turquoise, called Mermaid Treasure, combined with a blue, called Embellished Blue.

I just finished applying the first coat of the turquoise and is looking beeeaaaauuutiful!

And here is the "to do" list for when we finish with the paint.

- look for a color for the furniture
- sand and paint the furniture
- clean everything
- organize furniture
- look for vintage fabric to make curtains and pillows
- print pictures for the frames
- light fixtures
- finish decorating

Well that's all I have for today. Now I'm off to work as you can see the to do list is long.

Serena

I want to share this pictures my daughter, Serena, took of herself & by herself. I love, love, love them!!! For me they capture her personality in all its variations. The sweet, the funky, the funny and the pre-adolescent (this is the scary one) She is growing so fast and that is what scary me the most, what the future will bring her way. I hope she conserve that clear, honest and sweet look that I can see in her eyes. I wish for her to have always that big smile of her. I love her and I am really scare because she is not my baby girl anymore.

I love you Serena and I always will not mater what!!!

Now I want to show you a sneak peak of the accessories I am preparing for the 4Th of July. Some will be headbands, hair clips, brooches and pony tails.

A little of this...and a little of that...

Many things are going on at our home. We are preparing our home to receive my parents in law next week. That means:
- Cleaning everywhere
- Organizing everywhere
- Redecorating some rooms in the house
- and the big project of painting and rearranging furniture in the family room

Update on that project: we had a lot of work with this room. The walls were really in bad shape, so we have to sand them and fix it. I have almost finish with the primer and then the walls will we ready for the make over. Of course my head is of new things to make for the decoration. I promise to take some picture today for the before and of course I will show you the after.

I know I have been lost. I am sorry, but I am organizing my home because my parents in love are coming at the end of June. Also I have like 100 pictures to post but they need editing before and as you know it takes a lot of time, so I will be doing it little by little. Be patient, please!
